Thanks everyone.  He’s buried under a tree in my parents backyard. He has a grave marker with his name on it, and my grandparents brought flowers to put there. As for what happened, in addition to having trouble breathing, he decided to remove his abscess by himself. He was actually quite successful in getting it out, but it left a huge gaping hole that bled everywhere. My stubborn little man fought till the end.  He was 2 and a half years old. I’m still pretty devastated. EDIT: I should probably mention that I took him to the vet to say goodbye. I found him in his hammock, bleeding, and eating some food. He was very much alive when I found him. high-res →
